Rough Morning

Delphina had a temp of 100.8 this morning and the doctor wanted to do some blood work and put her on antibiotics. Vinci and I were very apprehensive of giving her more antibiotics since she had so much through Vinci during her laboring (Vinci was strep b positive so they gave her penecillin for 24hours). After talking to a "minimalist" doctor that is a professor at the hospital, we decided to go ahead, thinking that she might have a urinary tract infection. Delphina has had her blood work and a dose of antibiotics and is doing well. Vinci and I are shaken up over what was a hard decision for us, but we think the right one since the nurse has since said that her urine was cloudy and thus indicating an infection.

Hi Daniel and Vinci and Delphina,It also sounds to me that the baby may have a urinary tract infection, I think you were very wise to go ahead with the antibiotics. Don't worry, all will be fine. We are all thinking of you. Love, Sue
